Volt Loudspeakers BM1651 Bass-midwoofer
The BM1651 features a 6.5" critically doped plastic HIPS cone, optimized for bass and midrange applications that require minimal coloration and low distortion. Its symmetrical field magnet system includes an extended pole piece, providing large linear excursion capabilities. This design is complemented by mirrored double rear suspensions, ensuring transient stability even at high drive levels. The drivers Thiele-Small parameters are tuned for relatively small enclosures, which helps achieve a balanced bass performance that pairs well with its extended midband, making it ideal for high-fidelity 2-way systems.
The diecast aluminum chassis of the BM1651 is vented below the suspensions, increasing airflow for better cooling of the voice coil and magnet. This enhances the driver's durability and performance under demanding conditions. The BM1651 operates within a frequency range of 50 to 3000 Hz, with a sensitivity of 88 dB/W/m and a power handling capacity of 100W AES.
