Fountek Neo X 3.0 Black Ribbon Tweeter
Founteks reputation as an innovator in ribbon transducer technology continues with the Neo X series of ribbon tweeters. The Neo X 3.0 is built using third-generation Fountek ribbon driver technology, a strong neodymium motor structure, and built-in transformer to contribute to the responsiveness of this tweeter. A 12 mm wide by 80 mm high, sandwiched-aluminum ribbon diaphragm increases sensitivity and power handling, while limiting vertical dispersion for sharper imaging and reduced floor and ceiling reflections.
All of this combines to make the Neo X 3.0 an incredible, true ribbon tweeter with a super-wide (and flat) frequency response that extends from 1,200 Hz out to 40,000 Hz, while the wide horizontal off-axis dispersion makes for a larger listening sweet spot. The benign impedance makes the Neo X 3.0 a safe speaker to use with temperamental tube amplifiers. Recommended minimum crossover frequency: 2,000 Hz @ 12 dB/octave.
