With a focal length of 17-70mm (equivalent to 25.5-105mm in 35mm format), it is the worlds first interchangeable lens with 4.1x standard zoom range and F/2.8 brightness for APS-C cameras. The 17-70mm is equipped with the VC image stabilizer developed by Tamron. Minimum focusing distances of only 19 cm at the wide-angle end and 39 cm at the tele end enable striking -up shots with soft background blurring.
