Fountek RD1.0 Ribbon Tweeter
The ribbon is made from an ultra-lightweight (10mg) multilayer aluminum sandwich with a cross section of 0.015mm (approx 0.6 thou). This makes it very fast and responsive, resulting in excellent transient response. The tweeter also has a built-in transformer to match it to the impedance of most amplifiers.
The RD1.0 has a frequency response of 3000Hz to 40kHz, making it well-suited for reproducing the high frequencies that are essential for accurate music reproduction. It is also very efficient, with a sensitivity rating of 93dB, so it can produce high sound levels with relatively low power input.
